Festival takes inspiration from Goose Fair

This year you'll be able to enjoy the Carousel, the Tunnel of Love and Wall of Death without taking your feet off the ground.

These are just some of the new local brews at the Nottingham Beer Festival.
FACTS

At the beer festival there will be:
Well over 300 different real ales beers from at least 20 new breweries

Around 20 ciders and perries

A selection of country wines

Live music on Friday and Saturday evenings

Family room hot and cold food on sale

The biggest bar in town opens its doors to the public on Thursday, 17th October at the Victoria Leisure Centre, Sneinton. They will remain open until Sunday, 20th October.

There will be over 300 real ales, ciders and country wines.

This year, for the first time ever there will be a number of beers in the free trade three weeks prior to the event in the form of the Goose Fair collection.

These beers are to be brewed especially for the Goose Fair by local brewers, all of which will be on sale at the festival at our Goose Fair bar.

Richard Studeny, Chairman of Nottingham CAMRA said:

"Nottingham CAMRA has always had an annual beer festival and Goose Fair in autumn聟 so I thought we would link the two together.聰

The Goose Fair collection include:
Alcazar 聳 Carousel
Belvoir 聳 Twister
Brewster's 聳 Tunnel of Love
Broadstone 聳 Wall of Death
Castle Rock 聳 Bouncy Castle
Caythorpe 聳 Old Organ
Holland 聳 Waltzer
Mallard 聳 Hook a Duck
Maypole 聳 Ghost Train
Nottingham Brewery 聳 Big Real Ale
Springhead 聳 Dodgem

There will around 160 volunteers working in the two halls capable of holding more than 1400 people.

During the evening sessions entertainment will be provided by two bands aptly named The Beer Monsters and Coming Home High.

The festival will also launch the 2003 Good Beer Guide.
