This year's Nottingham Beer Festival opens it's doors to the public with some scary flavoured ales on show - including Aleoween, brewed with added fresh pumpkins.

FACTS

At the beer festival there will be:
Well over 300 different real ales beers from at least 20 new breweries

Around 20 ciders and perries

A selection of country wines

Live music on Friday and Saturday evenings

Family room hot and cold food on sale

The biggest bar in town opens its doors to the public on Thursday, 17th October at the Victoria Leisure Centre, Sneinton. They will remain open until Sunday, 20th October.

There are lots of unusually flavoured beers on display this year - from Aleoween, brewed with added fresh pumpkins to an ale flavoured with black pepper.

Fruity flavours collection:
ALEOWEEN - Brewed with added fresh pumpkin CRANBERRY- Fruit flavoured ale
RASPBERRY - Fruit flavoured ale
PORT STOUT - Stout with added port GRAPEFRUIT - Fruit flavoured ale
PINEAPPLE - Fruit flavoured ale
ORANGE - Fruit flavoured ale
BLACK CHERRY - Fruit flavoured ale
PEAR - Fruit flavoured ale
BANANA - Fruit flavoured ale
GINGER - Ale with added ginger

There will be over 300 real ales, ciders and country wines. If that is not enough to send you dizzy then watch out for the Twister - one of several ales named with Nottingham's Goose Fair in mind.

Broadstone 聳 Wall of Death
Castle Rock 聳 Bouncy Castle

There will around 160 volunteers working in the two halls capable of holding more than 1400 people.

During the evening sessions entertainment will be provided by two bands aptly named The Beer Monsters and Coming Home High.

The festival will also launch the 2003 Good Beer Guide.
