She's been named one of the Top Three High Street Honey's in the country and now a music career is beckoning.
It's quite an end of year party for Samantha Thompson.

Readers of FHM magazine have taste. They must have. They've rated Nottingham beauty Samantha Thompson as one of the most desirable high street honey's in Britain.
News has prompted music Svengalis to ask our Sam to go for an audition.
Move over Girls Aloud, a slice of Nottingham could be Top of the Pops in 2003.
We're still waiting for news of how that audition went but in the meantime Samantha's been answering some of those questions you've been dying to ask.

How did you feel when you first found out your mum had nominated you and that you'd got through to the final hundred?
I was surprised and very happy that my mum had entered me into the competition. My friends, sister and mum have always said I should be a model. I never thought I would get anywhere and when I got the letter saying I was in the final 100 I was delighted. Out of nearly 7000 girls I was in the final 100, and felt so proud! |
What do your friends think about you entering a beauty contest?
All my friends have been positive about the competition and think it is great. I was a bit worried at first about what my friends would think seeing me in some skimpy lingerie but they were fine and said, "you go girl!" |
As it was a surprise did you have any reservations about going into a men's magazine?
Nooo not at all, I have always wanted to do some kind of modelling. I think every girl dreams of becoming a model! FHM is not a sleazy men's magazine it is very tasteful, they have all the top models and stars e.g. Jennifer Lopez, Rachel Sclub and phwoor Kelly Brook! Hopefully I will be tasteful enough for the magazine myself! |
Have you ever entered anything like this before?
Never; I am a completely genuine High Street Honey, I have had no experience of modelling, presenting anything. I am the typical girl next door! |
Would you carry on your studies if you win?
The winner has no choice, they have to leave the profession they are in because they go to Miami for 5 months and working for FHM for a year. No manager would stand for that I don’t think and there would be any way I could carry on with my course with that much time off. |
If you could change anything about the world what would it be?
What I suppose every person wants - no starvation, war and suffering but I doubt that will ever happen. |
Who would you most like to meet and why?
Graham Norton because he makes me laugh! Brian from Big Brother for the same reason. Geri Haliwell. I think that people have been very harsh on her when all she has tried to do is her best, and I admire that she has done a lot for charity. George Michael because I have always been a fan right from his Wham days, plus he is Geri’s mate and we could all go out for dinner together, nice little three some I think! |

Do you want to work with children and create world peace?
I love working with children, at one stage I was going to become a primary school teacher. I had a placement working in a primary school helping out for a year. I secured a place at a university to do a primary school degree, but I then decided with my interest in modelling that the two would not mix very well!
I am also all for world peace and if someone taught me how to do it I would!

What are your plans for the future?
At the moment I am going to carry on with my Sociology degree and just see what happens really. Hopefully I will get some offers. I loved the photo shoot in Gran Caneria and being in front of the camera, I would not rule out any work for TV, as I felt very comfortable working with the film crew. I will carry on with my degree so I have something to fall back on but I feel I should grab all the opportunities I can get! |
