So what do kids do with themselves in 2003? Play computer games, chill in front of the telly, pretend they're Eminem in front of the mirror.
We asked six children from the Nottingham Emmanuel School in Wilford to compile an audio diary.
They took recording equipment with them while they were at school and home.

Kareem "I am in the library coz I'm doing my mentor time. I have it three times a week coz I'm special."
