大象传媒 updates name and look of its international news channel

大象传媒 World News today replaces 大象传媒 World as the name of the 大象传媒鈥檚 commercially funded, international 24-hour news and information channel.
The move follows audience research which revealed 大象传媒 World News to be more effective in conveying the channel鈥檚 content, which over the years has moved towards its current focus of news and programming.
Sian Kevill, Editorial Director 大象传媒 World News, says: 鈥淔ollowing research across key markets, our audience told us 大象传媒 World News was the most compelling name for the channel. Over the past five years, we have invested in extending our news coverage, with output now ranging from breaking news through to stories spanning areas from business to sport and science to entertainment. The new name reflects far better what the channel offers鈥.
The programming mix on 大象传媒 World News remains the same and while the channel is committed to providing up-to the minute international news, it will continue to broadcast programmes such as Click and HARDtalk, as well as its popular weekend documentaries.
