The ´óÏó´«Ã½â€™s International News services at the World Economic Forum

A special edition of  The World Debate – Asia : Sharing the Wealth? - hosted by Mishal Husain , recorded at the World Economic Forum in Jakarta, will broadcast on the ´óÏó´«Ã½'s International news services on 18 and 19 June.

The debate – ‘ Asia: Sharing the Wealth?' will examine the issue of inclusive growth in Asia and question how its new prosperity can be sustained and shared across the region.Ìý The debate will also look at issues including economic inequalities, the rise of  the  middle class and changing political expectations .Ìý It will also ask whether individual countries in Asia can ensure that the new wealth they are enjoying is more fairly distributed to all sections of society .

The panel will include: Abhisit Vejjajiva, Prime Minister of Thailand ; Mari Elka Pangestu, Minister of Trade, Indonesia ; Prashant Ruia, CEO, Essar Group ; and Walden Bello, Congressman , Philippines , and senior analyst, Focus on the Global South.

The debate will be recorded at the World Economic Forum in Jakarta on 12 June and is broadcasting as part of  t he Power of Asia season on the ´óÏó´«Ã½'s International News services - ´óÏó´«Ã½ World News, ´óÏó´«Ã½ World Service and bbc.com/news.Ìý Power of Asia  is a month - long season of special programming examining the story of Asia 's economic growth.  

The World Debate will broadcast on 18 June, 09:10, 21:10 and 19 June 02:10, 15:10 GMT on ´óÏó´«Ã½ World News (TV) and ´óÏó´«Ã½ World Service from Saturday 18 June at 18:00 GMT and Sunday19 June at 13:00 GMT .
