Big Brother Offers Even More Interaction
Audiocall
is poised and ready to handle all telephone response for
Celebrity Big Brother, currently screening on Channel 4 until 29
November. Once again viewers can watch well-known faces put themselves
through the authentic Big Brother experience whilst raising money
for charity. There is also more opportunity than ever for viewers
to interact.
This
year聮s show is bigger than before, keeping the celebrities
locked up for 10 days instead of the previous 7. On Channel 4 there
are hour-long shows every night, hosted by Davina McCall, with all
nominations and evictions taking place live on air. On the third
day the celebrities will begin the eviction process as they nominate
two of their number for eviction. The first eviction will take place
on day 5. For the first time, viewers can also watch round-the-clock
action via live streaming on E4 and the programme web site.
As
always, the decision on who stays or goes is in the hands of the
viewers, who can vote via telephone, text message or remote control.
Fifteen pence of each vote cast via telephone or iTV will be donated
to charity, as will 10p of the 25p vote cast via text message.
Audiocall
is managing an array of interactive projects, including the telephone
response in the main eviction votes. It will retrieve real-time
results and feed back to the programme team within minutes of closing
the lines, as well as collating the results of all text and ITV
voting. It will also provide services to Big Brother聮s Little
Brother, including comment lines, televotes and a competition offering
viewers the chance to win items from the celebrity tasks. For the
first time, a phone-in competition will also be promoted during
continuity breaks on Channel 4, offering viewers a chance to win
tickets to the final eviction. Audiocall is also managing phone-in
votes and competitions for Channel 4聮s early morning show,
RI:SE.
