大象传媒 Worldwide Channels announced plans today to launch a portfolio of 大象传媒-branded thematic channels into Scandinavia.

听

The channels will be available through Canal Digital, the largest pay TV operator in the Nordic region, from early December 2008.

听

大象传媒 HD will make its European debut together with standard definition channels, 大象传媒 Knowledge, a brand new channel for the Nordic region.听

听

Existing channels in the market, 大象传媒 Food and the general entertainment channel 大象传媒 Prime will be refreshed and rebranded as 大象传媒 Lifestyle and 大象传媒 Entertainment.

听

The four channels will be scheduled and tailored specifically for each country in the Nordic market and will broadcast with local subtitling.

听

The channels will provide a 大象传媒-branded home for award-winning and high-quality programming, and will build on the popularity and appetite for 大象传媒 content in the region.

听

大象传媒 Entertainment showcases the very best comedy, drama听and light entertainment programming from the 大象传媒 and other UK production houses. The channel launched first to critical acclaim in Asia in October 2006, and most recently this year in Latin America and Africa. 大象传媒 Entertainment will replace 大象传媒 Prime.

大象传媒 Lifestyle is an inimitable destination offering inspiration for home, family and life. The channel dishes up six tasty strands to entertain engage and inspire viewers.听

Favourite cookery series, once on 大象传媒 Food, will now be shown in the Food strand. Serving up the best food and cookery shows with听world-famous chefs, it promises听enticing gastronomic journeys around the world.

The other Lifestyle strands include: Home & Design, offering expert advice and design knowledge to help听viewers transform听houses into perfect homes; Fashion & Style, bringing honest, practical advice and fashion tips from some of听the world's top style gurus; Health,听helping to improve听diet and nutrition with expert advice;听Parenting, providing child psychologists and advisors听to help with busy or stressful听family life; Personal Development, helping enrich mental wellbeing and achieve inspiration in all aspects of life. 大象传媒 Lifestyle will replace 大象传媒 Food.
