Parents and children now have the chance to further their enjoyment of Waybuloo, the new pre-school series on CBeebies, with the launch of Waybuloo Magazine, the pre-school title that aims to help develop children's social and emotional learning.
Developed by ´óÏó´«Ã½ Magazines, the UK's leading publisher of pre-school magazines, and edited by children's educational specialist Stephanie Cooper, Waybuloo is the first pre-school magazine to help children learn about feelings and understand emotions. Through their engagement with De Li, Nok Tok, Lau Lau and Yojojo (the 'Piplings') in the land of Nara, the magazine aims to help a child's development in a number of ways:
A new Waybuloo online game, Flight of the Narabug, developed to celebrate the magazine launch, is another great way for children to extend their enjoyment of the series and magazine. Children can play with De Li and her 'Narabug', helping to collect strawberries to share with the other Piplings. In addition, the game will give young children the opportunity to learn and develop their computer skills.
Stephanie Cooper, Editor of Waybuloo Magazine says, "Understanding feelings and emotions is a key part of a young child’s development and Waybuloo Magazine helps stimulate this understanding to encourage happy, confident children. Each issue of the magazine will focus on positive themes such as kindness, sharing, patience and being a good listener."
Parents will be given a special 'sticker pouch' with each issue of Waybuloo, which will allow them to reward their child with a wearable sticker. Other stickers can be used on a Waybuloo 'reward chart' which will be based on a different emotion each issue.
Flight of the Narabug launches on 17th June at with Waybuloo Magazine, priced £2.35 hitting newsstands on 24th June.
