´óÏó´«Ã½ Worldwide, the commercial arm of the ´óÏó´«Ã½, today announced Tweenies Live! is to take to the stage in Hong Kong, the first time a ´óÏó´«Ã½ live show has been performed in Asia.
Currently appearing at local theatres in the UK until the end of August 2009, Tweenies Live! will be co-produced in Hong Kong by ABA Productions and ´óÏó´«Ã½ Worldwide Live Entertainment with full UK cast and crew. Top of the Tots features Bella, Milo, Fizz, Jake and Doodles in an all-new music show, packed full of family favourites performed in English at the Drama Theatre, Hong Kong Academy for Performing Arts from 23rd September to 4th October 2009.
Top of the Tots is an unmissable theatrical treat for young families, with its combination of musical magic, energy and entertainment. The Tweenies' infectious musical approach to learning through play is still bringing huge enjoyment to new audiences today.
Tweenies currently airs five times daily on the CBeebies channel in Hong Kong and DVDs are available in through retail outlets.
Tweenies Live! in Hong Kong follows a raft of other successful ´óÏó´«Ã½ children’s programmes in Asia although it is the first ´óÏó´«Ã½ brand to be performed live in the territory. Teletubbies has been broadcast in both English and Chinese since 1998 and is the bestselling ´óÏó´«Ã½ children's DVD/VCR title in Hong Kong. ´óÏó´«Ã½ Worldwide's newest pre-school property In the Night Garden is currently airing on CCTV in China and ATV in Hong Kong. Merchandise in China is expected to roll out later this year with magazine, book and DVD publishing.
