Tim Weller joins the ´óÏó´«Ã½ Worldwide Board

´óÏó´«Ã½ Worldwide, the main commercial arm of the ´óÏó´«Ã½, announces the appointment of Tim Weller as an external Non-executive Director.

Weller brings 25 years' experience of accountancy and finance roles to the ´óÏó´«Ã½ Worldwide board, and will in due course take on the chair of the Audit Committee. In May he will become CFO of the recently demerged Cable & Wireless Worldwide, and he is currently CFO of United Utilities.

Tim Weller said: "This is a fascinating opportunity to join a business in good shape and with excellent potential. ´óÏó´«Ã½ Worldwide is at a particularly interesting stage of its development as its focuses its growth outside of the UK. I hope to make a contribution to its future success."

He brings a wealth of financial and board experience, and has worked commercially, internationally and in the media sector. Weller was appointed CFO of United Utilities in 2006, and joined its board the same year. His responsibilities include strategy, business planning, financial control and Treasury.

In 2004 he joined RWE Thames Water, the water division of the German multi-utility company RWE, as Group Finance Director. In 2002 he became Group Finance Director of npower, having been Director of Financial Control at Granada Group since 1997. He qualified as an accountant with KPMG, where he spent 12 years and was a Partner.

Weller has also served as a non- executive director at the Carbon Trust since 2007. Previous directorships include St James's Group Ltd, where he was chairman, and as a non-executive director of Stanley Leisure.
