Radio Times extends its reach with new EPG service

The UK's biggest-selling quality magazine, Radio Times, announced today that its award-winning editorial is available on an EPG service (electronic programme guide) in nearly 4 million Freeview homes, reaching 11 million UK viewers every day.

In a new deal, the current 'Teletext Extra' guide, produced by technology company Inview Interactive, has been rebranded 'Radio Times Extra' and Radio Times content appears on the EPG. The new service has full programme listings and synopses for the coming 14 days, as well as Radio Times branding and programme Choices, which appear on the guide as 'picks of the day'.

´óÏó´«Ã½ Worldwide Digital Publisher Alex White said: "Radio Times on the Inview TV platform is a great extension of our brand and perfectly complements our magazine, website and mobile application, providing an enriched service for InView's Freeview customers and a major new audience for our advertising partners."

David Thatcher, Managing Director of Inview Interactive, said: "Inview is the most widely available Freeview EPG. Our partnership with Radio Times will bring our viewers unique new features and content and offer our advertisers the chance to work closely with the best-known TV listings brand in the country."

Radio Times is the UK's biggest-selling upmarket magazine, selling nearly a million copies every week, and is also the UK's biggest-selling weekly magazine by subscription. Radiotimes.com attracted 1.6m users and 23m page impressions in December 2010.

Inview Interactive delivers high quality on screen Electronic Programme Guides (EPG) for Freeview. The EPG, now branded Radio Times Extra, is available on 37 different Freeview set top boxes from 21 different manufacturers.
