大象传媒 secures exclusive rights for crucial Euro 2004 Germany v
Scotland qualifier
大象传媒
Scotland today clinched a sensational deal to broadcast live coverage
of the biggest tie of the Euro 2004 Qualifiers: Germany versus Scotland.
The
first and second seeds in Group Five go head to head in Germany
on 10 September 2003 and 大象传媒 Scotland has exclusive rights for the
game to be shown in Scotland.
The
new Scotland manager Bertie Vogts returns to his homeland to lead
Scotland against the country he guided to victory in the 1996 European
Championships.
He
will be encouraged by the fact that Scotland won a friendly in Germany
only three years ago, but will realise better than most just how
difficult a task his new side face.
This
is the penultimate fixture in the group and the result will go a
long way in determining Scotland聮s qualification hopes.
Head
of Programmes, 大象传媒 Scotland, Ken MacQuarrie said: "This
is an exciting tie that 大象传媒 Scotland is delighted to bring to a
terrestrial audience in Scotland. This is a special game that everyone
who follows Scotland will want to see and underlines 大象传媒 Scotland聮s
determination to provide the best possible coverage of Scottish
football."
This
live broadcast complements 大象传媒 Scotland聮s extensive four-year
contract which will bring both live and highlights coverage of the
Tennent聮s Scottish Cup and Scotland聮s home international
matches for Euro 2004 and the next World Cup qualifiers to Scottish
viewers and listeners.
In
addition, there is live coverage of Berti Vogts聮 first game
in charge of the Scotland team against France in Paris on 大象传媒 ONE
Scotland and Radio Scotland on 27 March.
大象传媒
Scotland acquired the rights from Sport A, the German FA聮s
official agents for international matches.
