The Queen's Concerts - last chance to apply for invitations to the concerts


Blue, Emma Bunton, The Corrs, Rod Stewart and Dame Shirley Bassey join the party


This weekend marks the final chance to apply for a "Golden Ticket" to The Queen聮s Concerts in June. At midnight on Sunday 17 March the lines will close.


The artist line-up continues to build impressively, with further hit acts announced today: UK聮s hottest pop band Blue, ex-Spice Girl Emma Bunton, legendary Scottish rocker Rod Stewart, multi-award winning Irish supergroup The Corrs and show stopping diva Dame Shirley Bassey.


These acts will join the following artists on June 3rd for Party at The Palace: Atomic Kitten, Tony Bennett, Eric Clapton, Phil Collins, Aretha Franklin, Sir Elton John, Tom Jones, Annie Lennox, MIS-TEEQ, Sir Paul McCartney, Queen plus special guests, Sir Cliff Richard, S Club 7, Brian Wilson (co-founder member of The Beach Boys) and Will Young (winner of Pop Idol).


The Royal Academy of Music聮s Symphony Orchestra will accompany the concert, conducted by Musical Director Michael Kamen. There are still more acts to be announced over the coming weeks.


No matter when calls are made between now and midnight on Sunday 17 March, there is an equal chance of success as invitations will not be allocated on a first come first served basis. Everyone can apply for a "Golden Ticket" by telephoning 0900 1952 2002, calls cost no more than 拢1, except from mobiles when costs may vary. The proceeds (net of related costs) go to The Queen聮s Golden Jubilee Charity. You can also apply online at



Each person can apply for two tickets. More than one household member can apply for tickets.


The two concerts will be produced and broadcast live by 大象传媒 television and radio across the UK and the world. The Prom at The Palace will be a magnificent occasion for classical music fans with performances from the internationally renowned Mstislav Rostropovich, Dame Kiri Te Kanawa, Sir Thomas Allen, Roberto Alagna and Angela Gheorghiu. The 大象传媒 Symphony Orchestra and Chorus will also perform under the guidance of their Conductor Laureate Sir Andrew Davis. 27-year-old Zenaida Yanowsky and Italian Roberto Boll茅 from The Royal Ballet will perform a pas-de-deux from Tchaikovsky聮s Swan Lake, staged by Royal Ballet supremo Sir Anthony Dowell. Top young British talent have confirmed their appearance: 12-year-old clarinet prodigy Julian Bliss will perform in the music room at Buckingham Palace accompanied by Ashley Wass, winner of the Leeds Piano Competition in 2000.

Of the 拢1 call charge: after Government (VAT), telecoms, call handling and number rental charges, the balance, 45.5 pence, will go to The Queen Elizabeth Golden Jubilee Trust and be given to The Queen聮s Golden Jubilee Charities and other charities chosen by The Queen. 大象传媒 Audiocall, who are managing the telephone and email ballot, will not make a profit and are providing their services at cost.
