大象传媒 serves up three Aces at Wimbledon
Two
new signings - Chris Evert to 大象传媒 TV and Brad Gilbert to 大象传媒 Radio
Five Live - plus a virtual courtside seat through 大象传媒i, provide
tennis fans with a complete 大象传媒 Wimbledon experience, as the Championships
begin on Monday 24 June 2002.
One
of the greatest tennis players in the history of the sport has joined

singles titles - will commentate on the women's game and be a studio
guest with Sue Barker and John Inverdale.
Chris
won 157 singles titles and reached the semi finals or better of
every Grand Slam she entered from 1971 to 1983. Chris was number
one in the world from 1975 to 1981 and in 1985. From 1972 to 1989
she was never ranked lower than number four.
Chris
Evert completes a star-studded line up that includes John McEnroe,
Boris Becker, Pat Cash, John Lloyd, Andrew Castle, Pam Shriver,
Virginia Wade, Ann Jones, Jo Durie, Annabel Croft and Sam Smith.
Chris
Evert said: "I'm delighted to be working for the 大象传媒 at Wimbledon.
"People
all over the world see the comprehensive, high quality coverage
that the 大象传媒 provides, and I'm looking forward to being part of
that this year.
"Wimbledon
is such a fantastic and unique tournament and I'll be aiming to
bring some of my experiences there into my analysis.
"It's
going to be good fun working alongside some of the other former
players, many of whom I regard as friends after touring the circuit
together for so many years."
Dave
Gordon, 大象传媒 Head of Major Events, said: "Signing Chris is terrific
news for the 大象传媒. She is one of the sport's greats, loved by tennis
fans around the world and respected throughout the sport. We're
really looking forward to working with her."
