Big Screen show gets thumbs up in Swansea's 大象传媒 jubilee spectacular

Swansea's Big Screen, provided for coverage of the Queen's Golden Jubilee and the World Cup, has proved to be a knock-out success for the city and for the 大象传媒, with hundreds of people expressing appreciation of the facility.

So popular was the project, in Swansea's Castle Square, that an audience of up to 150 people were there to view it at 7.30 am earlier this week to see one of the key World Cup group ties.

Rhys Bevan, the 大象传媒 logistics organiser who arranged and orchestrated the show said, "Officials of Swansea City Council have told me that they believe it was very good value for money and would be interested in having something similar again.

"The public certainly enjoyed it - there was next to no bad behaviour, and most people appeared to think that it added to the country's festive mood."

Last weekend proved to be a big test of 大象传媒 resources for Rhys Bevan and his team, with five major events going on almost simultaneously - Swansea's Big Screen, classical and pop concerts in Cardiff Bay, Music Live from Cardiff Castle and the Urdd Eisteddfod in Cardiff's Llandaff Fields.

"Originally the Music Live event was to have come from St David's, Pembrokeshire, but was subject to a late change and transferred instead to Cardiff, which created a big difficulty for us in finding suitable stage equipment for Cardiff Castle.

"As it happened, I think we succeeded in obtaining the last available stage in the UK because it was such a hectic period. It was a big test of initiative to get all the programme together.

"Everyone involved in the arrangements on our side worked prodigiously to get these events up and running. It was a dedicated and diligent effort," he added.
