Wimbledon 2002 from 大象传媒 Sport

Sue Barker and John Inverdale hold the Wimbledon trophies

The Wimbledon Championships will be brought to people the world over through 大象传媒 SPORT's live and exclusive award-winning tri-media coverage.

Once again, 160 hours of tennis will be showed in the UK.

Last year the 大象传媒 won three Royal Television Society (RTS) awards for its Wimbledon coverage, including one for Live Outside Broadcast Coverage of the Year.

RTS Sports Presenter award winner Sue Barker will host live coverage throughout the day, while John Inverdale presents the nightly highlights programme Today at Wimbledon.

John McEnroe has brought a new dimension to the 大象传媒's commentary and analysis team.

With his fresh and forthright style, he has proved very popular among the viewing audience at home and won last year's RTS award for Sports Pundit.

New signings for television this season are Chris Evert and Boris Becker. Both very popular Wimbledon winners, they bring a particular insight and knowledge of the championships and current players to viewers, as well as some experience of commentating.

Martina Navratilova will once again join the team, as will Pat Cash and Virginia Wade.

Five-times Wimbledon doubles champion Pam Shriver and 1969 Wimbledon women鈥檚 and mixed doubles champion Ann Jones join mixed doubles champions John Lloyd and Jo Durie, along with Annabel Croft, Andrew Castle and Sam Smith, to bring their Wimbledon experience and tennis insight to the team.

Leading all-round commentators Barry Davies, David Mercer and Tony Gubba will share their commentary skills with viewers.

Barry travels back from the football World Cup especially to be at Wimbledon.

Bill Threlfall, Simon Reed, John Alexander, Matt Chilton and Mark Petchey, who will commentate for both radio and television, complete the team.

Last year鈥檚 big success story, 大象传媒i once again offers both digital viewers and web users a virtual courtside seat at SW19, with greater choice and more comprehensive coverage of the Championships than ever before.

For the Wimbledon Championships 2002, 大象传媒i is inviting not just digital satellite, but digital cable and digital terrestrial viewers the chance to switch from one tennis match to another, all at the push of the red button.

On the web, 大象传媒i ensures that users are across every serve, every volley and every line call, from the first puff of chalk dust to the eruption of crowd euphoria.

Information will be available on results, player profiles and draws, and users can get involved in 大象传媒i鈥檚 sports talk section, as well as checking out all the latest audio and video coming out of SW19.

Radio Five Live鈥檚 coverage generally begins daily at 12.30pm with Clare Balding leading the expert team which includes Iain Carter, Tony Adamson and former coach to Andre Agassi and top flight player, Brad Gilbert.

Five Live鈥檚 output is available on the usual frequencies of 909 and 693 AM.

Hazel Irvine will report for 大象传媒 News, and 大象传媒 Breakfast News will present live from Wimbledon between 8.30am and 9,00am each day.

Gaby Roslin will reveal another side to the championships by interviewing celebrity guests, reporting who was spotted at the championships the day before, and reviewing the day's fashions with help from 大象传媒 fashion gurus Susannah Constantine and Trinny Woodall.
