Inside Out to launch in September as English Regions' Current
Affairs move to 大象传媒 ONE
大象传媒
current affairs programmes across the English Regions take on a
brand new look and format from September as they switch from 大象传媒
TWO to a new peak time Monday night slot on 大象传媒 ONE.
Inside
Out is the new common brand name for the programmes, replacing
the range of individual titles previously used on 大象传媒 TWO and introducing
a completely new approach to engaging audiences with aspects of
the life of their region.
The
new plan means that each of the 大象传媒's 11 English Regions, including
for the first time the East Midlands and South East regions, will
have its own programme - an increase on the nine previously broadcast.
Each
programme will have its own regular presenter who will become the
new face of 大象传媒 Current Affairs in their corner of England.
All
the programmes will be made and produced locally. They will follow
a broadly similar format featuring three different regional stories
each week - all designed to offer, as the new series catchline says,
"surprising stories from familiar places."
Lorraine
Heggessy, Controller of 大象传媒 ONE, said: "Regional news is already
a vital part of the 大象传媒 ONE mix and this is a natural extension
of the channel's commitment to giving viewers the full local picture."
Andy
Griffee, Controller of the 大象传媒's English Regions, added: "The
move of our current affairs to 大象传媒 ONE achieves a long-held ambition
of our programme-makers.
"I'm confident that Inside Out will build on the success of
our daily news programmes and strengthen our connection with audiences
across the country."
