ONE's money roadshow Cashing In set itself a challenge last April
to save the people of Tyneside more than one million pounds in one
day.
The
pilot programme, which was recorded at The Assembly Rooms in Newcastle,
successfully helped 700 people save 拢3.75 million in pensions,
tax, mortgages, investments and credit payments.
Fronted
by 大象传媒 News presenter Moira Stuart and Adam Shaw, presenter of 大象传媒
TWO's Working Lunch show, Cashing In is being transmitted at 6.05pm
on Sunday 22 September.
The
programme set out to save people thousands of pounds by sorting
out their finances with the help of the 大象传媒 Money Bus and a band
of Independent Financial Advisors.
Series
Producer Tracey Hobbs says: "Our money bus was on a mission
to save the people of Newcastle a million pounds in just one day.
"It
was a tall order but the results were amazing. It's all about better
financial housekeeping and learning to be savings savvy.
"As
a nation we waste a staggering 拢19 billion a year through
little more than financial inertia. The team shows how using a few,
non risky tips, everyone can be cashing in.
"Don't
let your lenders get away with it, we work hard for our money so
why hand it on a plate to the taxman or mortgage lender."
After
the programme is broadcast, digital satellite viewers can question
three experts during an interactive forum between 8.00 and 8.30pm.
