The
Class of 2002's top student will receive the opportunity of a lifetime
What does it take to feel like a superstar? A 拢1million record
deal? A trip on Concorde like Mick Jagger? A flat in Notting Hill
like Robbie? Fresh flowers every week like Elton? Recording tracks
at Abbey Road like the Beatles? A flash sportscar like Jay Kay?
Whoever graduates top of the class from the 大象传媒's spectacular new
series, Fame Academy, will not only get the chance to be trained
by the industry's finest, but will get a year to enjoy all the trappings
that stardom brings.
When
the Fame Academy opens its doors on 大象传媒 ONE at 8.30pm on Friday
4 October, 2002 there will be 12 students competing for the opportunity
of a lifetime - the chance to make their own individual mark on
the record industry and create the music they have always dreamed
of through being signed to Mercury Records and given the life of
an international pop star.
But
this isn't like winning the lottery - it's for one year only. At
midnight one year to the day after they graduate from the Fame Academy,
these additional trappings will be taken away.
The
winning student will have had one year's advice, support and exposure
to establish themselves in the music industry, but 12 months on
they will have to work hard to support themselves in the style to
which they will have become accustomed.
As
well as working with some of the most talented musicians, producers,
writers and video directors in the industry, the winning student's
deal with Mercury will guarantee them the following amazing opportunites:-
Record
at the world famous Abbey Road Studios
Receive the keys to a luxury flat in Notting Hill
Receive a top of the range sportscar
Fly on Concorde to the Caribbean for a two week holiday for two
Have fresh flowers and champagne delivered every week
Have a personal shopper available when required
Have VIP tickets to some of the year's biggest events including
the FA Cup Final, The Brits, London Fashion Week and Cannes Film
Festival
Receive VIP membership of a top London club,
Get a personal trainer
Take a cameo role in a Hollywood movie
Richard
Hopkins, Executive Producer of Fame Academy said: "The Fame
Academy will be a hard place to graduate from and there will be
no doubt that winner will deserve the opportunity we give them.
"But
they will have to work hard and prove they are a genuine star if
they want to carry on in the music business with all the benefits
that brings. We are giving them a head start, but we are going to
take away the flat and the car and the other fringe benefits after
a year and see if they can stand on their own two feet. I really
hope they make the most of the year ahead."
Fame
Academy starts across the 大象传媒 on Friday 4 October, 2002.
It is an Initial production (part of Endemol UK) for the 大象传媒.
