Owen and Kevin bring showtime to Cardiff shoppers
The
streets of Cardiff will be alive with the sound of music as Owen
Money and Kevin Hughes bring showtime to Wales's capital city this
Saturday (12 October 2002).
Broadcast
from The Hayes live on 大象传媒 Radio Wales, Radio Wales on Show
is the launch of the first-ever International Festival of Musical
Theatre which will see Cardiff swing into all-singing, all-dancing
action between 14 October 14 and 3 November.
Owen
and Kevin will set out their stall of musical treats, giveaways
and prizes - including a DVD player - opposite the Queen's Arcade
steps, as they introduce four acts to entertain fans and shoppers.
Tribute
band Seasons of Gold, from Llanelli, will be getting the crowd jumping
with Four Seasons classics; West End star Anthony Moulton and Just
Up Your Street singer Claire Marie Hall, who both come from Newport,
will each be taking the stage to sing favourite numbers from the
shows and musicals.
And
大象传媒 Wales' own Beverley Humphries, who comes from Pontypridd, will
be adding her own touch of glamour, singing a few personal showtime
favourites.
Kevin
Hughes will be on the decks from 10.00am to welcome the crowds.
The
last time Radio Wales staged a live event in Cardiff's city centre
more than 3,000 people turned up, so organisers are urging people
to arrive early.
