大象传媒
Children In Need 2002, Friday,
November 15 on 大象传媒 ONE Scotland at 7.00pm
Jackie Bird, Fred MacAulay and Pudsey Bear welcome some of the best-loved
Scottish stars from music, sport and screen to 大象传媒 Scotland's studios
in Glasgow for this year's 大象传媒 Children In Need.
The main themes this year incorporate Elvis and a very special birthday;
25 years since the world bid farewell to The King and it's the 75th
anniversary of the 大象传媒 broadcasting appeals for disadvantaged children.
Some of the studio highlights confirmed so far include Darius, who'll
be performing his new single Rushes, and Clare Grogan with her first
performance of Happy Birthday in 18 years, to celebrate 75 years
of the 大象传媒 raising funds for kids.
We'll also have live reports from all our outside broadcasts where
we're calling all Elvis impersonators to join in the fun, so squeeze
into your white jumpsuit and blue suede shoes and get along to Peebles,
Perth, Glasgow or Aberdeen.
Come
on down and join us at The Gytes Centre in Peebles with Ross Kelly;
Broadcasting House, Aberdeen, with Simon Biagi; Broadcasting House,
Glasgow with Ali Paton, or prepare to get wet at The Perth Leisure
Pool with Heather Suttie, and experience the weird and wonderful
antics of other generous fundraisers.
There's
a host of 大象传媒 Scotland faces on show from, Chewin' the Fat, Live
Floor Show, Balamory, Monarch of the Glen and the River City cast,
while I'm a Celebrity Get Me Out of Here contestant Rhona Cameron
joins up with Alan Hansen, Hazel Irvine, Edith Bowman and Lorraine
Kelly for a re-enactment of that speech.
There's
also music from The Happy Gang and ex-Taggart star, James McPherson,
joins with Wet Wet Wet's Tommy Cunningham for a special performance.
Meanwhile,
over on 大象传媒 Radio Scotland, there's also plenty afoot kicking off
at 9.05am with Fred MacAulay and Gary Robertson with the finale
of the Balloon Debate as well as updates and reports from CIN events
around the country.
Then at 11.30am, a special Children in Need Let's Do The Show Right
Here has Jackie Bird presenting from Archaos nightclub in Glasgow
with laughs courtesy of Bruce Morton and songs from the staff of
Norwich Union.
At 2.05pm, Tom Morton presents an afternoon of live music and guests
from Aberdeen. You can join in the fun and bring your dancing shoes
to Beechgrove, where they attempt the longest running Strip the
Willow in history.
Finally,
from 7.15pm until 11.00pm, for one night only, Bryan Burnett and
Iain Anderson host a musical extravaganza live from the Food Court
at 大象传媒 Scotland, Glasgow, with celebrity guests, live music and
a generous audience with many tales to tell.
