HARDtalk:
President Jimmy Carter
On
大象传媒 News 24's HARDtalk tonight (Tuesday 10 December), Tim Sebastian
interviews President Jimmy
Carter, Nobel Peace Prize Winner.
When
former United States President Jimmy Carter was awarded this year's
Nobel Peace Prize for his "decades of untiring effort to find
peaceful solutions to international conflicts, to advance democracy
and human rights, and to promote economic and social development,"
Chairman Gunnar Berge said the award was a criticism of President
George Bush's policy on Iraq.
So
what does the former President, who brokered the Camp David accords
between Egypt and Israel in 1978, think of America's current policy
towards Iraq and the Middle East?
And
how is his work in conflict resolution and promoting human rights
making a difference to the world? He talks to Tim Sebastian.
