Radio
Scotland reaches more listeners
Radio
Scotland is reaching more listeners than any other station in Scotland,
according to RAJAR figures (Radio Joint Audience Research) for quarter
four, 2002 (September to December).
Its
reach of 1.1 million listeners per week (26%) has only once been
equalled in the last four years and is up more than 3% on the previous
quarter.
Its
share of listening, at 10%, is an improvement year on year and quarter
on quarter;
Its
hours of listening - 7.53 hours per week - is up year on year and
on a par with the last quarter.
Maggie
Cunningham, Head of Radio Scotland, said: "At
a time of strong competition, this is a very good set of results
for Radio Scotland. It is a great tribute to our presenters, production
and support teams."
