Nestor - the new voice of weekend evenings on 大象传媒 London 94.9FM
Eddie
Nestor will be broadcasting to Londoners, on 大象传媒 London 94.9FM,
every weekend evening, Friday to Sunday, from 4 April 2003.
Eddie,
a well known TV and stage actor as well as broadcaster, will be
on air every Friday, Saturday and Sunday from 10.00pm until 2.00am,
increasing his broadcasting time from eight hours to 12 hours a
week and becoming 大象传媒 London's own regular weekend nighthawk.
He
says: "It's great to have a regular slot and brilliant that
I get more time to talk to my callers.
"I'm
a real nighthawk and I love chatting to listeners about what's on
their minds.
"I'll
have some great guests and lively conversation, so every weekend
mine will be the best party in town."
David
Robey, Managing Editor of 大象传媒 London 94.9FM, says: "Eddie is
an exciting and talented broadcaster. We want to ensure that our
listeners have a regular appointment to tune into his programmes.
"By
placing Eddie at the same time every weekend evening, listeners
will know where and when to find him.
"Eddie
will continue to serve a wide range of listeners, as he does now,
but without losing the programme's emphasis on issues that are particularly
relevant to the African-Caribbean community."

programmes will continue to be produced by his regular team, led
by Senior Producer, Kim Davis.
As
a consequence of this schedule change, a number of other changes
ensue:
Miss
P will now move to Thursday evening: 8.00-10.00pm;
Smokey
Joe moves to Monday evening: 8.00-10.00pm;
Word
for Word with Dotun Adebayo moves to Sunday evening: 6.00-8.00pm.
The
RAJAR figures published on 30 January showed 大象传媒 London 94.9FM increased
its listeners by 94,000 in the past year and has also seen its audience
share rise substantially.
All the
大象传媒's digital services are now available on ,
the new free-to-view digital terrestrial television service, as well
as on satellite and cable.
Freeview
offers the 大象传媒's eight television channels, interactive services
from 大象传媒i, as well as 11 大象传媒 radio networks.
