Wimbledon interactive service returns, bigger and better for 2003,
expanding the choice of viewers across all digital platforms.
Whether
you get your digital signal through digital satellite (Sky), digital
cable (NTL/Telewest) or Freeview, ´óÏó´«Ã½i at Wimbledon gives you the
chance to choose between action from up to four different courts
as well as the live broadcast match on ´óÏó´«Ã½ ONE or ´óÏó´«Ã½ TWO.
As
well as being able to choose the match you watch, this year's expanded
service includes the chance to participate in four live chats throughout
the day's play and access to live scores and news from across all
Wimbledon’s courts.
Topics
will range from who will make it through to the next round, to a
look back at some of Wimbledon's legends.
Whatever
your level of tennis knowledge there is a chance to interact with
fans from across the country.
In
addition to the live match broadcast on ´óÏó´«Ã½ ONE or ´óÏó´«Ã½ TWO, digital
viewers have the following options, depending on which platform
they subscribe to.
Digital
Satellite (Sky) and Digital Cable (NTL*/Telewest)
By
pressing the red button on their remote control, viewers enter ´óÏó´«Ã½i's
Wimbledon interactive service and will be presented with a multi-screen
view of the matches available.
By
using the up and down arrow keys on the handset followed by select,
you can choose between play from the five courts (this includes
the main channel match).
Live
commentary accompanies each match, as well as an updated scoreboard.
By
pressing the blue button on the remote, viewers can access a menu
and choose from the following options:
•
Chat – A live chat on one of four topics (which change daily).
Viewers can enter the discussion via their remote control (Sky and
Cable by text message, or by e-mail)
•
News – All the latest news from the Wimbledon Championships
•
Scores - Live updated scores from all courts
•
Results –Updated results as and when they happen
*The
full interactive service may not be available to some NTL subscribers
due to technical restrictions with the platform. In this case viewers
can access an enhanced text-based service.
Freeview
By
pressing the red button on their digital adaptor remotes during
Wimbledon coverage, Freeview viewers access ´óÏó´«Ã½i.
From
here, pressing the blue button will enable viewers to access a menu
and choose from the following options.

Live match 1 – The live match shown on ´óÏó´«Ã½ ONE or ´óÏó´«Ã½ TWO
•
Live
match 2 – An additional live match from another court
•
Live match 3 – An additional live match from another court
•
Chat – As above, viewers can enter the live chats via text
message or e-mail

News – As above
•
Scores - Live updated scores from all courts
•
Results –Updated results as and when they happen
All the
´óÏó´«Ã½'s digital services are now available on ,
the new free-to-view digital terrestrial television service, as well
as on satellite and cable.
Freeview
offers the ´óÏó´«Ã½'s eight television channels, interactive services
from ´óÏó´«Ã½i, as well as 11 ´óÏó´«Ã½ radio networks.
