The
Prince of Wales sends special message to 大象传媒 TWO's Restoration
As
大象传媒 TWO's Restoration reaches its climax this Sunday at 9.00pm,
HRH The Prince of Wales is to show his support for the need to rescue
buildings at risk, some of which have been featured on the hit show.
As
the nation votes for which building should be given a new lease
of life with funds raised during the show's five week run, His Royal
Highness will reveal that he has been watching Restoration.
As
the announcement of the winning building draws closer, The Prince
will also call upon viewers not to forget the other 29 featured
throughout the series as well as the countless architectural treasures
at risk across the country.
The
final of Restoration this Sunday will be staged at the Tower of
London and broadcast live on 大象传媒 TWO where presenter Griff Rhys
Jones will announce which building the nation has chosen.
Using
the funds raised, including 拢3 million pledged by the Heritage
Lottery Fund, restoration work will be carried out that will see
the winning building's future secured.
Produced
by Endemol UK for 大象传媒 Scotland, Restoration has visited all corners
of the UK offering viewers the chance to save from ruin one of 30
architectural treasures.
Ten
one-hour programmes have been devoted to a geographical area and
have called on viewers to vote for one of three historical buildings
at risk in that region.
The
ten buildings viewers must now choose between before voting lines
close at 10.10pm on Sunday are:
