HARDtalk
guests for 23 to 26 December 2003
Tonight's
大象传媒 News 24 HARDtalk programme (Tuesday 23 December) features author
Frederick Forsyth being interviewed by Gavin Esler. The programme
was first broadcast earlier this year.
Tomorrow
(Wednesday 24 December) Tim Sebastian interviews Nina Simone.
The interview was recorded in March 1999 and is shown again as a
tribute to the singer who died this year.
On
Thursday - Christmas
Day - there is a new David Jessel interview with Cuban ballet star
Carlos Acosta.
As
the youngest of 11 children growing up in a poor neighbourhood of
Havana, Carlos desperately wanted to be a footballer.
When
his father insisted he went to ballet classes to use up some of
his prodigious energy and impose a bit of discipline, he thought
it was 'sissy'. So did his street friends, who beat him up over
it.
Despite
playing truant and being kicked out of his first ballet school,
he is now one of ballet's top stars.
On
Friday - Boxing Day - there is another chance to see Tom Brook's
interview with Sir Michael Caine.
HARDtalk
is broadcast on 大象传媒 News 24 each weekday at 11.30pm.
