Building on its successful four-year partnership with WOMAD, 大象传媒 Radio 3 this year sets up residency at the Village Stage where it hosts acoustic evening sets, World on Your Street events and Radio 3's regular world music shows.

Radio 3 broadcasts almost ten hours of live music, as well as presenting an extra 15 hours of music performance live at the world's leading world music festival.

Acoustic music is a strong feature of Radio 3's festival coverage. Each night of the festival at 1.001pm, Radio 3 presents acoustic performances on the Village Stage.

On Friday Fiona Talkington introduces Irish accordionist Sharon Shannon; on Saturday Andy Kershaw introduces Dimi Mint Abba from Mauritania; and on Sunday Verity Sharp completes the weekend with late-night music from young Indian sitar player Purbayan Chatterjee.

Radio 3's broadcasts 聳 including live sets, recorded highlights, interviews and special performances 聳 cover the entire weekend, from Friday night (23 July) with Andrew McGregor and Verity Sharp, to Andy Kershaw in his usual 10.15pm timeslot on Sunday 25 July.

The coverage continues throughout the following week in Late Junction presented by Fiona Talkington, culminating in a second World Routes special with Lucy Duran on Saturday 31 July.
