Special guest performer Lebo M, the original
voice of The Lion King soundtrack, and top presenter Gaby Roslin join
the bill

One of South Africa's most acclaimed artists, Lebo M
gives a special guest performance in Hyde Park for the 大象传媒 Family Prom
in the Park.
Best known for his resonating vocals on the Oscar-nominated soundtrack
to Disney's Lion King, Lebo M performs Circle of Life, the famed opening
track from the animated film.
Family favourite and star of TV and stage Gaby Roslin
hosts the evening's entertainment with the 大象传媒 Concert Orchestra, which
also features music from Aladdin, The Little Mermaid and Beauty & The
Beast.
This is the fifth large-scale event for children and their families
staged by the 大象传媒 Proms.
This year the 大象传媒 Concert Orchestra plays some of Disney's best-known
songs and there will be plenty of on-stage action with dancing, singing
and story-telling, plus footage from the animated classics relayed on
giant screens around the park.
The evening will end in a grand finale as Mickey Mouse takes the stage
to conduct special effects.
Gaby Roslin is currently on a nationwide tour with the National Theatre's
production of Dinner which finishes in August.
Of presenting she says: "I'm delighted to be presenting the 大象传媒 Family
Prom in the Park as I have always been a huge fan of Disney and this
promises to be a magical evening for adults and children alike.
"The stage really feels like home to me now and I'm looking forward
to treading the boards once again in London."
Grammy Award winner and Tony nominee, Lebo M is recording a new CD
and continues to manage his record company, Till Dawn Entertainment,
which focuses on the best of African talent.
Lebo's music captivates audiences with hauntingly inspiring African
rhythms and melodies and his credits include The Power of One, Back
on The Block and Listen Up with Quincy Jones and feature films.
His latest project, a CD and DVD titled Celebrate 10 Years, commemorates
the 10th year of democracy in South Africa.
