Ever wondered what goes on behind the scenes on a ´óÏó´«Ã½ News and Sport bulletin? Want to have a go and see how it's done?

Ìý

This summer visitors to big events around the UK will have the chance to try as ´óÏó´«Ã½ News and Sport go on tour.

The tour team will be travelling to events around the UK during July, August and September, giving the audience the chance to find out more about the ´óÏó´«Ã½'s sport, news and weather programmes, meet some of the people who make them happen and have a go at some of the roles themselves in specially built television and radio studios.

Presenters from national, regional and local ´óÏó´«Ã½ television and radio will be on hand to offer tips to budding presenters.

Ìý

Among the figures taking part are: Brian Hanrahan, ´óÏó´«Ã½ World Diplomatic Editor; Darren Jordon, ´óÏó´«Ã½ ONE's One O'Clock News; Robert Nisbet, ´óÏó´«Ã½ ONE's The Morning Show; Tazeen Ahmad, ´óÏó´«Ã½ THREE's 7 O'Clock News; and Peter Donaldson, Radio 4.

Ìý

They will give visitors the inside track on what it's like to present a live programme - under the glaring lights, reading from an autocue, while being talked to in an earpiece by a director.

Ìý

The tour team will also include some of the journalists, producers, editors, directors and engineers who work on the ´óÏó´«Ã½'s programmes.

Ìý

They will explain how they do their jobs and will guide visitors through the process of putting together a programme.

The visitors will be able to read a news bulletin or operate the camera, sound, vision desks or autocue.

Ìý

They will also be able to create a story for ´óÏó´«Ã½ News, Sport or bbc.co.uk/cbbc, taking a guided tour of the sites with the journalists who work there.

Ìý

And any budding John Motsons will be able to try their hand at sports commentary with help from the ´óÏó´«Ã½ Sport team.

´óÏó´«Ã½ News and Sport on Tour will be visiting the following locations:

Friday 30 July – ´óÏó´«Ã½ White City, Wood Lane, London W12
