Presenters and reporters for 大象传媒 TWO's new arts and culture programme, The Culture Show

大象传媒 TWO's faces of culture

The 大象传媒 today confirmed the line-up of presenters and reporters for its new topical arts and culture programme, The Culture Show, starting 11 November on 大象传媒 TWO.

Radio presenter and musician Verity Sharp; conductor Charles Hazlewood; playwright and actor Kwame Kwei-Armah; journalist and broadcaster Mariella Frostrup; and art critic Andrew Graham-Dixon will be the main anchors for the show.

Each episode will be fronted by one of the main presenters and brought to viewers from a different city or venue around the country every week.

Verity Sharp, known to many as the presenter of Radio 3's Late Junction, will host the first show.

Features and special reports will come from a regular team comprising film critic Mark Kermode; art critic Robert Hughes; investigative reporter Shelley Jofre; broadcaster and writer Linda Kennedy; arts correspondent Lawrence Pollard; and music specialist and broadcaster Zina Saro-Wiwa.

But there'll also be plenty of room for films and features from guest reporters and authors.

For example, the 大象传媒's political editor Andrew Marr interviews renowned artist David Hockney in the opening show.

"We are delighted to have put together such a lively and diverse team, including some of the most passionate and authoritative voices from the world of arts and culture.

"The range of voices will grow as the show develops, but to have so much talent for the launch is very exciting", says George Entwistle, executive editor, The Culture Show.

Lively, fast-moving and intelligent, The Culture Show offers a range of views, interviews and breaking news from the worlds of high art, popular culture and everything else in between.

Covering everything and anything - from architecture to art house cinema, computer games to choreography, and shock resignations to startlingly original works of art - the show gives viewers an hour long culture fix every Thursday night.
