the Year award.

For the first time a public
vote will decide which team takes the award.
听
Last year the award went to the England rugby team after they won the World Cup
in Australia.
听
Arsenal secured their place in
history after their 49 game unbeaten run.
听
England's cricket team has reversed its fortunes and enjoyed one of its most successful
years.
听
Europe's Ryder Cup team scored a remarkable
victory over the US team at Oakland Hills in America.
Team GB's 4x100m men relay team also got one over the Americans when they took
gold at this year's Athens Olympic Games.
Team
GB's coxless rowers kept the nation on tenterhooks with their thrilling win over
the Canadians to take gold at the Olympics.

Philip
Bernie, Executive Editor of 大象传媒's Sports Personality of the Year, said: "This
is one of the strongest line ups we've ever had for the Team of the Year award
and I don't think anyone can predict which team the public will choose on the
night.

"It's too close to call as all
the teams have achieved remarkable results."

The
public can vote for their favourite team on special phone lines which will be
announced during the 大象传媒 Sports Personality of the Year programme on 大象传媒
ONE tonight.
