Photo-agencies have been
requesting copies of the new 大象传媒 series Paparazzi - to give their
own snappers some tips.
听
Paparazzi, which ends its three-week run on 大象传媒 ONE
tomorrow (Wednesday 19 January), follows the fortunes of Big Pictures,
one of the top celebrity pictures in the world, and its army of paparazzos,
who pop up everywhere from red carpet premieres to beaches in Barbados.
听
The programme studies their tactics as they bid to get
the first shot of a celebrity caught unawares sent round the world.
听
From talking their way onto hotel balconies to snap
celebrity holidaymakers in bikinis or less, to stakeouts near celebrity
homes in the hope of getting an unguarded moment on film, Paparazzi
shows how the professionals get their shots.
听
And it is certainly proving an education for other photographers.
听
David Cartwright, Head of Press or 大象传媒 Wales, which
makes the programme, says the requests for tapes of the show were unprecedented.
听
"We have been sending copies
to television previewers, but this is the first time we have been contacted
by picture desks asking for tapes," he says.
听
"A couple of agencies have expressly said they
want to show it to their own photographers to teach them a thing or
two."
听
Tomorrow's Paparazzi, which includes a photo-shoot with
Rebecca Loos, a car chase following Nancy Del'Olio and papping a picnic
with Charlotte Church, is on 大象传媒 ONE at 10.35pm.
听
The series is a 大象传媒 Wales production.
