大象传媒 Radio Cymru has released
the much anticipated shortlist for the annual RAP Awards (Rock
and Pop Awards).
听
The shortlist, which has many new and exciting names this year, was
announced on the C2 evening programme on Radio Cymru last night.
听
The winners will be disclosed at an event in Pritchard Jones Hall,
Bangor on 19 February, hosted by C2 presenters Dafydd Du, Huw
Stevens and Dylan Wyn.
听
There is much speculation about who will come out on
top in the numerous categories as new and established acts hope to have
made a good impression within the industry, since the nominees are decided
by a panel of experts working in the music business.
听
"It's a very fresh and exciting shortlist this
year," says event producer, Dwynwen Morgan.
听
"There are numerous new names, which goes to show
how healthy and lively the music scene is in Wales.
听
"It also shows the emphasis on performance, with
some of the nominees having gaining profile by live performances only
聳 for example Gwyneth Glyn has not recorded anything at all.
听
"We are definitely in for an exciting evening next
month when the winners are announced."
