The 大象传媒 WM Breakfast Show's Adrian Goldberg puts his fear of heights to the test as he rides the Birmingham Wheel in Centenary Square.
听
The plucky presenter had originally planned the stunt as part of the 大象传媒's Children in Need appeal back in November last year.
听
The only problem was he simply could not overcome his fear.
听
Since then Adrian has been visiting Birmingham-based psychologist Dr Michael Drayton who has helped him with his phobia.
听
Now Adrian is determined to see what he has been missing out on as he gets great views over his native city from the famous ferris wheel.
听
Adrian said: "I was genuinely petrified of heights and couldn't even drive my car over high bridges.
听
"I know this challenge isn't going to be easy, but I feel much more confident now. Let's hope I still feel as brave when I get there."
听
Adrian also remains on a natural high 18 months after having taken over 大象传媒 WM's Breakfast Show.
听
"I like to think that, while they're getting the most up-to-date news, my listeners are also going to work with a smile on their faces," he says.
听
"The station is special to me as it's the place where my broadcasting career began. I started out in 1991 as a sports reporter on 大象传媒 WM, so I've known the station and listeners for a long time."
听
Adrian's 'big wheel' exploits will be transmitted on his own 大象传媒 WM Breakfast Show between 7.00 and 10.00am on Thursday 3 February.

Listeners will still be able to make donations to Children in Need by calling 0845 733 2233.
