The 27-year-old-singer from Yelverton, who was nominated in 大象传媒 Radio 2's Folk Awards for the Best Original Song and the Best Newcomer, captivated his invited audience at the Dartbridge Inn last month with an energetic and truly passionate performance.

Radio Devon producer John Govier is delighted to have recorded such a fantastic concert.
听
"Seth is a brilliant live entertainer and an accomplished singer/songwriter. His passion for Devon really comes across in his music," says John.
听
"It was great that he agreed, along with his brother Sean and double bass and banjo player Ben Nichols, to play such an intimate gig in front of an invited 大象传媒 Radio Devon audience, in the middle of his tour."
听
Songs from Seth's album Kitty Jay, which is based on South West England folklore, along with a few new numbers can be heard in the broadcast.
听
Seth Lakeman says of his music and influences: "I've always been interested in the legends and mysteries of Devon and Dartmoor.
听
"I was inspired by tales my grandad would tell me and what my dad would say. All the old boys in the pub would mention these stories and it's a great theme to write about."
听
Seth comes from a musical family and started his professional career as one of the Lakeman Brothers when he was just 17.
听
He has spent time signed to Warner Music as a member of Equation and has travelled the world with Irish singer Cara Dillon.
听
The concert will be broadcast live on Radio Devon and on bbc.co.uk/devon.
