The two-hour concert, titled A Party To Remember Live From
Trafalgar Square - VE Day 60th, will be hosted by Eamonn
Holmes and Natasha Kaplinsky.
听
Millions will watch and hear the historic live broadcast on 大象传媒 ONE
and 大象传媒 local radio, while 15,000 lucky ticket-holders will attend the
event.
听
Sir Cliff Richard, Daniel Bedingfield, Hayley Westenra and Heather
Small will join a stunning line up of artists performing at the concert,
including Will Young, Katie Melua
and Katherine Jenkins.
听
Further names are to be announced.
听
The concert will run from 7.30 to 9.30pm and will see the artists
perform a unique mixture of classics and contemporary tracks, accompanied
by the quintessential wartime fixture - the big band.
听
The concert will also include unique video footage of the original
and moving 1945 celebrations in Trafalgar Square, and special readings
throughout the day by celebrity guests such as the newly-announced Richard
E Grant alongside Heather Mills McCartney and Christopher Eccleston.
听
Sir Cliff commented: "It's great to celebrate the end
of any war - it gives us a chance to say thanks to those who gave their
lives for us. Our society - or rather, all that's good in our society
- is what it is today because of them."

As well as watching the concert live on 大象传媒 ONE, people can also listen
live on 大象传媒 London 94.9 FM and other 大象传媒 local radio stations.
听
大象传媒 Radio 2 will broadcast live features from Trafalgar Square during
the event, with concert highlights broadcast later on in the evening.
听
There will be VE Day celebrations in many other areas of the UK, and
the Trafalgar Square concert will be relayed live on a number of
giant video screens in cities across the UK including Birmingham, Liverpool,
Manchester and Hull.

A Party To Remember: Live From Trafalgar Square - VE Day 60th is being
organised by the 大象传媒, The Royal British Legion and the Mayor of London
with the support of the London Development Agency.
