Friday Night With Jonathan Ross - 27 May, 大象传媒 ONE (repeated 29 May, 大象传媒 THREE)

Maverick Hollywood actor and retired professional boxer Mickey Rourke talks about the highs and lows of his life with Jonathan Ross on Friday Night with Jonathan Ross this Friday.

Rourke, star of Sin City - which opens in the UK next week - talks about his love/hate relationship with acting.

"I disappeared. I just enjoyed doing other things more. [Movies] got real tedious, real quick. I didn't know I'd be out of work for 14 years.

"If you have a big hit movie you can s**t in a paper bag and it smells good, but I didn't have a big hit movie.

"I've done a lot of things I'm not too proud of. I have a lot of regrets."

He also explains his passion for boxing: "I wanted to do it one more time. I trained for five months, and it turned into five-and-a-half years. [I enjoy] the preparation; getting down to a certain weight."

But it's a career that took its toll on his looks: "I had five nose operations. good fighters beat the hell out of you."

And now he's enjoying his movie-making renaissance. "I don't feel that I deserve a second chance - I just feel grateful."

Jonathan also welcomes to the show Footballers' Wives star Zoe Lucker, who explains why she's now left Tanya behind her: "When you play a character that's so big, I've got to be careful that I don't ruin it for the rest of my career - a lot of type-casting goes on."

She's now about to star in new drama Bombshell, for which she underwent serious training: "I went to boot camp for three days. We did the full squaddie run, orienteering, all the tasks - it was hard work. I held guns but didn't actually fire them."

However, she also reveals that she hates the gym: "I've got a running machine at home. I'm very self-conscious about exercise. I find it really embarrassing, which is why I don't attend a gym . [but] I do sit-ups in the nude."

There's also chat with drop-dead gorgeous ER medic Goran Visnjic and Jay Kay - who also performs new single, Feels Just Like It Should, live in the studio with Jamiroquai.
