大象传媒 FOUR's Holidays in Places that Don't Exist has won the One World Media Popular Features Award.

Presenter Simon Reeve said: "The idea behind Places That Don't Exist was that there are about 200 'official' countries in the world, but there's also dozens more unrecognised countries and breakaway states.

"They are among the most obscure places on the planet, so I was really grateful to the 大象传媒 for letting us visit and shine a small light on some of them.

"All those nights spent eating appalling food in strange restaurants in forgotten parts of the world now seems like time well-spent!"

Holidays in Places That Don't Exist is part of the Holidays in the Danger Zone series which began with Holidays in the Axis of Evil in 2003.

The series was up against Sex Traffic from Channel 4 and Suranne Jones for Christian Aid Week 2004, for the One World award.

大象传媒 Head of Current Affairs, Peter Horrocks, said: "It's a great series that brings serious journalism together with an engaging travelogue. The award is a tribute to the whole Holidays team."

The 大象传媒 dominated the One World awards, scooping a total of five awards.

1Xtra collected the Radio Documentary Award for Hip Hop in the Holy Land, which documented the hip hop scene from both the Arab and Israeli perspectives, and the coveted TV Documentary Award went to Malaria: Fever Road (Films of Record for 大象传媒 FOUR) about the malaria season in the Kisii Highlands of Kenya.

The Woman's Achievement Award, sponsored by World Vision, went to 大象传媒 Radio 4's Woman's Hour: Ghana Special - a critical tour of Ghana through the eyes of its women.

大象传媒 East collected the Local Media Award, for Rwanda Revisited - a powerful and unflinching observational story which followed ten-year-old Roger Nsengiyumva from Norwich to the country of his birth as he revisited the village where his father was murdered during the genocide.
