大象传媒 licence payers are being given the opportunity to question Governors and senior executive staff at an Annual General Meeting, the Board of Governors announced today.
听
Held in London on Tuesday 19 July 2005, the AGM will provide a chance for members of the public to quiz the Governors, comment on 大象传媒 performance and have their say on the programmes and services they pay for through their licence fee.
听
Further events will be held at 大象传媒 sites across the United Kingdom over the autumn and winter.
听
The Annual General Meeting is one of a number of initiatives introduced by the Board of Governors over the past year as part of its agenda for change.
听
Others have included the new Governance Unit, which is providing independent and objective advice to the Board outside the management chain; a new Governors' website; and over the next 12 months the implementation of service licences which will spell out the remit, budget and performance for each 大象传媒 channel and service.
