Former Eastenders actress Rani Singh joins the cast of the 大象传媒 Asian Network's weekday drama Silver Street next week in the role of Surinder, Simran's mother.
听
The actress, who played Sufia Karim - one of the first key Asian roles in Eastenders - also combines the roles of writer/producer with various voluntary work commitments.
听
Her first episode of Silver Street is Monday 4 July.
听
Speaking of her new role Rani said: "I'm tremendously excited to be taking part in Silver Street which has gone from strength to strength in just a year.
