大象传媒 Proms in the Park returns to Glasgow this year, joining the rest of the UK for the Last Night of the Proms festivities.

In association with Glasgow City Council, the concert will take place at Glasgow Green on Saturday 10 September at 7.45pm.

Like previous years, Glasgow, Belfast and Swansea host their own concerts before uniting via big-screen link-ups around the country for the live relay of the famous finale of the Last Night of the Proms from the Royal Albert Hall, London.

Tickets are free (maximum of four per person) and available now by calling 08700 100 900 (calls are free).

Performing on stage in Glasgow this year with the 大象传媒 Scottish Symphony Orchestra is the celebrated Scottish folk star Dougie MacLean; Irish soprano Ailish Tynan, one of the world's most acclaimed singing talents and a winner in the 大象传媒 Singer of the World competition; and the exciting Mugenkyo Taiko Drummers.

If that wasn't enough, they are joined by the acclaimed National Youth Choir of Scotland, and 大象传媒 Radio Scotland's Young Traditional Musician of the Year, piper Stuart Cassells.

The conductor for the night is one of the rising stars in British music, John Wilson, and the event is hosted by 大象传媒 Scotland's Sally Magnusson and the renowned Scottish tenor and Radio Scotland presenter, Jamie MacDougall.

The programme for Proms in the Park has something for everyone, including some of the best-loved classics such as Bernstein's West Side Story and Tchaikovsky's The Nutcracker Suite, as well as a host of well-known Scottish songs.

Whatever your taste, Proms in the Park 2005 aims to bring the best music to the widest possible audience by combining raw energy, informality and an explosive atmosphere.

If you don't have a ticket you can tune in to a number of 大象传媒 services to make sure you don't miss all the excitement.

Radio Scotland and 大象传媒 FOUR are both broadcasting the Glasgow Green concert live.

If you want to see what else is happening around the country you can tune into 大象传媒 ONE, 大象传媒 TWO and 大象传媒i as well as 大象传媒 Radio 2 and 3.
