Sharon Osbourne on Jonathan Ross

Sharon Osbourne gets up close and personal with Jonathan Ross

Friday Night with Jonathan Ross: 10.35pm on 7 October on 大象传媒 ONE (repeated Sunday on 大象传媒 THREE).

Reality show queen Sharon Osbourne - sporting a new blonde-streaked coiffure and giving Jonathan a hands-on guide to her breast implants - sets the record straight about her family, fame, surgery and TV ambitions when she meets Jonathan Ross this Friday.

On her husband: "Ozzy's the sanest person in our house - he's the voice of reason. In the papers, they put stuff taken out of context. My husband isn't a wife-beater, he's an angel and I adore him. It sounds like he comes out as a bad guy. He didn't mean to do what he did . we both have a lot of passion."

On The X Factor: "[Last time] I said, 'I'm done with that, I'm moving on'. I think the three of us are a good combination: we're all so different.

"Before I did this, I used to think these people were staged. But I honestly think English people are eccentric. The show brings out every nutter in the country; I love them!

"He [Simon Cowell] didn't get it right about Steve [Brookstein]. He [Steve] was rude to mummy, so I had to slap him around."

On her self-image: "I didn't know who I was until I hit my forties; I can only blame myself, I wasn't a happy person. people used to ask if I was Ozzy's mother.

"You're always searching for something, that's what started the surgery. You can get addicted to that."

On her own fame: "Who would have thought some old bat at forty-nine could change? It's an unbelievable experience. if it was to end tomorrow, how could I complain?"

She says that in future, "I want to work on a TV show with Ozzy. I don't work well without him, I miss not working with my family."

Jonathan also welcomes to the show ex-Blue boy band frontman Lee Ryan, whose second single is released next month.

He says he's surprised by his solo success: "I was quite shocked about the reviews I got - it was much appreciated. I worked really hard."

He talks about his reaction to leaving the band: "I had anxiety attacks. I suffered from night terrors when I was a kid - I was mad as well as dyslexic."

He discusses his love life - "I'm single at the moment - I'm not as mad as they [the press] make out" - and his next project.

"I'm directing my first movie. I wrote it when I was 15 - it's about growing up. I was a bit of a tearaway but I never got caught. It's like a young version of Snatch."

Completing this week's line-up is multi award-winning actor Bob Hoskins, returning to the West End this month in As You Desire Me and to the big screen in Mrs Henderson Presents next month.

And there's an exclusive performance from Ms Dynamite, with her only TV performance of Father from her double A-side single, Judgement Day.
