大象传媒 East Midlands took top honours at the Royal Television Society (Midlands) Awards ceremony last Saturday 8 October.

The prestigious event, staged at Birmingham's International Convention Centre, saw 大象传媒 East Midlands win the award of Best Regional Programme for A Picture of Nottinghamshire - a film made with Nottinghamshire writer William Ivory and produced and directed by 大象传媒 East Midlands' Stuart Woodman.

The film follows William Ivory as he looks around the areas of Nottinghamshire, at the people and places which have motivated his work.

All of the writer's dramas have been set in the region from where he originates, and the film looks at the surroundings that were such an inspiration to him.

Hosted by comedian Brian Conley, the glittering ceremony was attended by the cream of Midlands talent, to celebrate the very best of programming made in the region.

The Royal Television Society regional awards honour the very best in programmes that have been produced, commissioned or creatively controlled by a Midlands-based company.

Mike Bettison, Head of Regional and Local Programming, 大象传媒 East Midlands, says: "The RTS Award is a great fillip for the 大象传媒 East Midlands region. It's recognition for the skills of our programme makers and, of course, for Billy Ivory himself who was the subject of the film.

"With extra investment coming into the region to create a brand new Politics Show and a more local focus for Inside Out, the future is looking bright."

大象传媒 East Midlands' win topped off an extremely successful night at the Royal Television Society Awards for the 大象传媒, winning seven of the ten categories it was nominated in.
