大象传媒 Sport has confirmed its schedule to broadcast highlights of the Guinness Premiership and the Powergen Cup during the 2005-06 season.

Premiership highlights showing the story so far this season are being shown on the three Sundays after the Autumn Internationals - 13 November, 20 November and 27 November - during Rugby Special on 大象传媒 TWO's Sunday Grandstand, alongside highlights of England's three autumn Tests.

On Sunday 4 December a special extension to Sunday Grandstand will be broadcast featuring action from the cup third round group stage finishing that day.

On Sunday 8 January highlights of the Premiership over Christmas and the New Year will be broadcast with a further update on 29 January, followed by regular Premiership action featured on Sunday 25 March, Sunday 9 April, Sunday 16 April, Sunday 30 April, Sunday 7 May, Sunday 14 May and Sunday 28 May.

These programmes will focus on a selected Premiership match as a feature piece for the programme.

Philip Bernie, 大象传媒's Head of Rugby, said: "We're delighted to be bringing the best of the Guinness Premiership on Sunday Grandstand, with a regular run of programmes in the spring showcasing the climax of the league and play-offs action.

"Our new approach should give fresh insights into the lives of the Premiership clubs, as well as the key action from a standout match.

"Combined with our live coverage of international rugby in the autumn and Six Nations, and the new Anglo-Welsh Powergen Cup, we think this provides a really strong offering on the 大象传媒 for rugby fans."
