The 大象传媒 Asian Network announced the latest changes in the revamped schedule as part of the most far-reaching changes at the station since it started broadcasting nationally in 2002.

The changes were announced by Controller Bob Shennan amidst a major revamp at the station of talent and editorial staff.

Breakfast: weekdays from 6.00 to 9.00am with Sonia Deol
Award-winning broadcaster Sonia Deol takes over the Breakfast programme, bringing to the show her lively style which has been honed through a career in radio and television, including Network East on 大象传媒 TWO. Sonia comes to breakfast from the Asian Network's morning phone-in programme, where she currently presents.

Phone-in programme: weekdays from 9.00am to noon with Anita Rani
Anita Rani takes over the reins of the lively Asian Network phone-in programme, exploring the views of listeners across politics, current affairs, religion and cultural issues. Anita has previously filled in on the programme and brings extensive television experience presenting Desi DNA on 大象传媒 TWO.

Afternoons: weekdays from 12.30 to 4.00pm with Nikki Bedi
Nikki Bedi is a well-known face in the Brit Asian entertainment scene. She has wide experience of the Bollywood world through presenting work on television. Nikki moves from Drive on the Asian Network to take up the presentation duties on the afternoon show from 12.30pm on weekdays.

Afternoons will see the best of British and world Asian culture in the arts and entertainment worlds with top guests and discussion.

The full range of presenters in the new schedule will be finalised in the coming weeks and the new schedule is due to be on air in the spring.
