大象传媒 World Service has appointed Liliane
Landor as its new Editor 大象传媒 World Service News and Current Affairs. She is responsible for all the 大象传媒 World Service News and Current Affairs programmes in English.

Liliane Landor was born in Lebanon and educated in France and Switzerland - speaking five languages including Arabic.
听
She joined the 大象传媒 in 1990 - working for the 大象传媒 French
Service after experience as an interpreter in Paris and as a print
journalist.
听
She had been Head of 大象传媒 World Service News and Current
Affairs Programmes since 2002, and in 2004 spent six months
as Head of the 大象传媒 Arabic Service.
听
More recently, she has played a key role in leading flagship news and current
affairs programmes across 大象传媒 World Service - while also being part of the
Creative Future for journalism team led by the 大象传媒's Deputy Director-General, Mark
Byford.
听

Liliane Landor replaces Mary Hockaday who has now been appointed Deputy Head of 大象传媒 Radio News.
