Clarion Award for Radio Scotland documentary on nuclear power

A 大象传媒 Radio Scotland documentary on the future of nuclear power has been given an award by an organisation which promotes best communication practice.
听
The Investigation - Nuclear Power, produced by independent production company, Triple Echo, scooped the honour in the radio category of the Clarion Awards which took place on Friday (29 September 2006) at Bafta in London.
听
It was named best documentary or factual programme within the radio category of the awards.
听
The programme examined a project by a private company in Finland to build the first nuclear power station in Western Europe for more than a decade.
听
The documentary was transmitted as the debate in Scotland over future energy options, including the possibility of a new nuclear power station, gathered pace.
听
Jeff Zycinski, Head of Radio at 大象传媒 Scotland, said: "Our monthly Investigation programme - launched over a year ago - has received a very positive response from listeners and we're delighted that the judges have chosen this edition of the series as a winner, especially when it faced such strong competition.
听

The Clarion Awards are run by the International Visual Communication Association (IVCA), the largest body of its kind in Europe. It works to identify and promote best communication practice.

The awards recognise best practice in communicating the importance of corporate social responsibility, sustainable development, social inclusion and ethical debate. 听
