World Service appoints Kenyan, Uduak Amimo, as its Senior Editorial Adviser

The 大象传媒 has appointed 鲍诲耻补办听础尘颈尘辞听as its Senior Editorial Adviser, supporting the Director of the 大象传媒 World Service, Nigel Chapman.
听
Uduak advises on the editorial leadership and management of the world's leading international radio broadcaster and its New Media operations.
听
Her role also includes facilitating editorial collaborations between the World Service and the 大象传媒's international news services.
听
Nigel Chapman said: "I am very pleased Uduak is taking on this new role. The World Service has 163 million weekly global listeners, of which a huge proportion is from Africa.
听
"Uduak's knowledge of Africa will ensure we keep a close focus on the continent and her production experience will help us raise standards across the board."
听
Uduak joined the 大象传媒 in 2002 as a producer and presenter with the English-language 大象传媒 African news and current affairs programmes, Network Africa and Focus on Africa.
听
She says: "I am delighted to be given an opportunity to help shape the 大象传媒's global agenda.
听
"I will also bring my strong links with Africa and my special interest in the region to this role but I am also looking forward to developing my experiences beyond the continent."
听
Uduak started her journalism career whilst studying International Relations at the United States International University in Nairobi, where she helped launch the first campus newspaper. Later she became its Editor.
听
Uduak went on to work as an Assistant Producer听at Reuters Television听with Reuters News Agency in Kenya.
听
She then travelled to the United States听for her Masters degree in Journalism and Public Policy, after which she听worked for the Voice of America.
听
On her return to Kenya, she was recruited by the 大象传媒.
